P401 – Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples (PLM)


This course has been designed by the British Occupational Hygiene Society to provide theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of asbestos sample identification using polarised light microscopy (PLM).Lucion BOHS P401 course

It is a 3 day course including examination and practical assessment.

Topics include:

  • Asbestos Fibres
  • Set up and use of a Polarised Light Microscope
  • Analysis of Bulk Samples
  • Practical Work

Successful completion of this course will provide candidates with a ‘Proficiency Certificate’ in Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples (PLM).
